The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns to the Miniaci Performing Arts Center the night before Halloween — and this is no ordinary screening. Nova Southeastern University performing arts students perform the film live as a shadow cast, acting out every number in front of the original 1975 cult classic as it plays on the big screen behind them.
That makes it a perfect date: part movie night, part live theater, and fully interactive. Audience participation is the whole point — expect costumes, callbacks shouted at the screen, and a room full of people doing the Time Warp. Dressing up is absolutely encouraged, and your $32 ticket includes a complimentary audience-participation prop bag, so you'll have what you need when the props fly.
Can't make tonight? The shadow cast returns for a second performance tomorrow, Saturday, October 31 at 8:00 PM — Halloween night itself. The Miniaci sits on NSU's Davie campus; park in the Alvin Sherman Library parking garage ($1 per hour). Ages 18 and older only.
How this works: every morning we scan South Florida's concerts, festivals, shows and one-night-only events, verify the date, venue and ticket link, and pick exactly one — the best date in Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach that day. This page always shows the current pick.
